Since 2001 - the first year that the Refugee Processing Center began consistently recording data on
refugee admissions - the US has admitted hundreds of thousands of refugees. When broken down by
country, you can see the highs and lows of each refugee population -- numbers that correspond to political
strife, war, or danger in their country of origin.

Note: Countries whose data was withheld to limit disclosure for 1 year or more were excluded from this analysis. Represented by (D) in source database.
